AACS Alumni Association -- This organization fosters continued awareness of the Air Force communications and air traffic control missions previously performed by the Airways and Air Communications Service AACS), the Air Force Communications Service (AFCS) and the Air Force Communications Command (AFCC).

Asbestos exposures were common among members of the air force and navy. Asbestos was used extensively in vessel and bomber construction and has been conclusively linked to the rare cancer mesothelioma. Options for mesothelioma treatment are limited as the cancer is aggressive. Those who believe they may have been exposed should contact their physician to discuss their asbestos history.
