- TUSLOG Detachment 150: TUSLOG Detachment 150 was a tropospheric radio relay site located outside the city of Gemlik, province of Bursa, Republic of Turkey, approximately 30 miles northwest of Karamursel Air Base. Approximately 80% of the US and NATO long-haul voice and data communications entering or exiting Turkey between 1962 and 1996 passed through Detachment 150's equipment. Were you there between its opening in 1962 and its closing in 1995? As an official history of the site or the detachment does not exist, we are trying to locate stories, documents, photographs and other items to compile one. If you can provide information or are just curious about Detachment 150, please stop by Bluejeans' Place, at http://www.bluejeansplace.com/TUSLOGDetachment150.html. You can use the Bluejeans' Place inquiry form to drop a spam-protected note to the Bluejeans' Place webmaster, Pat Shediack, CMSgt, USAF (Retired).
